Since Microsoft now owns GitHub, this is an interesting move. Thoughts?
@jmwright I'm sure that some people will do the reflexive anti-microsoft thing, but zero platform fees for life and covering the payment processor fees for the first year seems pretty legit.
@jmwright I'd really love for Microsoft to use this as the first step in restructuring github to be a public benefits company, like Kickstarter did
@jmwright I don't like it. I know it is too early, but I think it will centralize everything to Microsoft.
Makerdon is a Mastodon instance focused on Makers, Open Source Hardware (OSHW) and STEM/STEAM. Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) is a likely topic as well.
