Well, I'm posting this from my new UBports edition PinePhone.

@jmwright ubports is ubuntu but mobile right? Will you try KDE?

@Sylphox Yep, it's Ubuntu. I probably won't try KDE/Plasma on this phone. I have an old Nexus 5 that I got off of eBay a couple years ago that is for testing other phone OSes. UBports is the only one that I've ever been able to get working well enough to play around with it as a daily driver. I like what I see with Plasma Mobile, but haven't ever gotten it to work. I'm waiting for Linux to mature on mobile enough for me to ditch Android.

@jmwright Interesting, I always thought Plasma Mobile was way more stable and "ready" than ubports because of what others have said. Definitely something to keep watch on!

@Sylphox Plasma might be more stable. It's hard to say based on my limited experience. I've only tried it on a Nexus 5.

@jmwright How well does #UBPorts run on it? Currently I am using an #OnePlusOne. It runs well, but there are crashes and the missing zoom in the camera module is a bit of a pain.

@GerryT It runs fairly well. I haven't had any crashes yet, but the battery life is really bad, which is the same problem I had on my old Nexus 5. If I run top in the terminal it shows Unity is running the processor hard all the time, so I'm guessing that's the issue. There are other problems as well, like the camera module not being supported yet. I knew it would be rough around the edges when I got it though, and mainly want to support the project and follow along.
